Installation Guide

1. Cutting: Use a utility knife to cut the board to size and create cutouts for pipes and fixtures.

2. Screws Placement:

  • Vertically: Maximum spacing of 12” (30 cm).
  • Horizontally: Maximum spacing of 16” (41 cm).
  • Ceilings: Maximum spacing of 6” (15 cm).

3.Installation: Start from the bottom, fixing the W-S Board to the wall studs. For tub walls, apply W-S Sealant adhesive along the top edge of the tub, not lower than 4” above the floor, and immediately install the W-S Board.

4. Fastening to Studs:

  • Wood: Use W-S Board screws and washers.
  • Metal: Use self-tapping screws.

5. Screw Length: Ensure screws reach a depth of at least 3/4” (19 mm) in wood studs and 3/8” (10 mm) in metal studs.

6. Sealing: W-S Board is waterproof, but all joints, corners, pipe penetrations, and fasteners must be sealed.

7. Puncture Points: Cover puncture points completely with W-S Sealant.

8. Panel Installation: Ensure a secure seal using the flange on the board.

9.Joint Waterproofing: Apply modified thin-set mortar with a 1/4” notched trowel. Use polymer-modified thin-set meeting ANSI A118.4, A118.11, or A118.15 standards.

10.Applying Flange: Lay the WATER-STOP flange, press firmly, and remove trapped air. Spread adhesive from the inside out using a margin trowel or similar.

11. Sealing Corners: Use preformed W-S Corners and follow the same procedure as the flanges.

12. Pipe Connections: Open pipe connection areas using a utility knife or drilling crown.

13. Sealing Pipe Areas: Seal with W-S Mixing Valve or W-S Pipe Connection products.

14. Tile Installation: Tiles can be installed immediately using polymer-modified thin-set without additives. Choose a notched trowel matching the tile format.

  3. Sealing: Ensure all edges and seams are properly sealed to prevent water leakage.
